A kaleidoscope of culture, beauty, technology, and heritage, Malaysia is truly breathtaking, awing travellers from across the world with its many riches. Malaysia has more to offer than just Kuala Lumpur's dizzyingly-tall skyscrapers and multicultural vitality, Putrajaya's staggering monuments and tree-lined avenues, Penang's pristine beaches and culinary delights, Genting Highlands' mist-laden rainforests and unforgettable entertainment, and Borneo's rainforests and mountains - it is a country with innumerable attractions, rich confluences of cultures, diverse cuisines, vibrant traditions, and delightfully friendly people.

When to go:
Malaysia is hot and humid all year-round, with rain occurring throughout the year. February to May see the least rains in most regions, and if you want to avoid the blazing sun, the best time to go is from September to November. PeninsularMalaysia receives heavy rainfall from September to March, and the East Coast from November to February. Rainfall on the West Coast is at its highest from May to October.

Local Transport:
Malaysia offers inexpensive domestic air-travel with good connectivity. In fact, when travelling from Peninsular Malaysia to Borneo, air-travel is considered the only practical option. Carriers include: AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines (state carrier), Firefly, Berjaya Air and MASWings. Trains in Malaysia also provide convenient and affordable transportation; however, road transport is usually faster asMalaysia has a well-developed highway network. Cars and motorcycles can also be easily rented in Malaysia. Within cities, buses and taxis provide efficient transport.Kuala Lumpur also has a well-developed rail network, namely the three Light Rail Transit systems, which are RapidKL, KL Monorail, and KTM Komuter.
