Tour Guide

Divided into two, North Island and South Island, New Zealand boasts of the most diverse landscape there could be. From high snow-capped mountains to white sandy beaches and from thrilling rapids to placid lakes, New Zealand tours allow you to discover its many natural wonders. Whether a romantic carefree honeymoon or an adrenaline pumping adventure trip, New Zealand vacations are perfect for everyone. Enjoy long drives across winding roads, indulge in natural spa therapies, shop for Maori artifacts or try bungee jumping and sky diving! New Zealand holidays are a time for fun, indulgence and self discovery, all at the same time.

When to go:
The warmer high-season months (November to April) are ripe for outdoor exploration. Summer (December to February) is also when Kiwis crank up the food and wine festivals, concerts and sports events. December in the far north can be rainy, however. If you’re a snow bunny, visit when the powder is thickest – June to August is skiing high season. Remember, though, that in winter, warm-weather beach towns might be half asleep.
If you want a real holiday, staying and eating in your venues of choice, avoid school holidays (particularly mid-December to early February) and public holidays. Most places are packed to the gills with campervans, tourists, highly strung parents and inexhaustible children in the post-Christmas weeks. The cooler, less touristed ‘shoulder’ periods (October/November and April/May) are a much better idea.

Local Transport:
Public transport in New Zealand exists in many of the country's urban areas, and takes a number of forms. Bus transport is the main form of public transport. Two major cities, Auckland and Wellington, also have suburban rail systems which have been gaining more patronage and new investment in recent years. Some cities also operate local ferry services. There are no remaining tram (i.e. light rail) systems active anywhere in New Zealand (except for some museum systems), though trams (and their horse-drawn pedecessors) once had a major role in New Zealand's public transport.
